Strong spending on multifamily housing is a sure sign of Dallas’ booming job market and economy, according to a report by Apartment List.

The apartment locating site found that between 2000 and 2016, Dallas developers spent $27.6 billion on constructing new multifamily housing, ranking the city third among the nation’s 25 largest metroplexes. Only New York and Los Angeles topped the Big D, at $64.9 billion and $28.4 billion, respectively.
