A 32-home subdivision near the new Lewis & Clark Bridge is fielding a strong response even as its front door is parked next to a construction site.

State transportation crews are busy on the Old Salem Road extension to the new tolled bridge, and it should be finished by late November.

But the work hasn’t dampened the interest in The Ridges of Old Salem, a subdivision that eventually will benefit from the road extension and its easy access to the bridge.
