Two well-known Bay Area developers are facing off to develop a 6-acre housing site in South San Francisco near the city’s BART Station.

City officials narrowed down the finalist pool from five teams to two: AGI/KASA Partners and Blake Griggs.

The two groups submitted proposals that could bring more than 800 homes on a city-owned, vacant swath of land that sits on Mission Road  near El Camino Real.
